How do you do the couple coffee video?
The couple coffee video is the two-person version of the coffee fail, where one partner scoops and misses the mug while the other pours the kettle and the milk. You need two photos and a partner with a sense of humour. Start with the generator.
Who takes which role
There are two jobs. The person at the front holds the spoon and drops the coffee beside the mug, then takes the second scoop and misses again. The person behind lifts the kettle with total confidence and, near the end, tips the jug of milk across the counter. In the Couple Coffee Fail template, the first photo you upload is the front role and the second photo is the pour. If you swap the order, you swap the jobs.
Picking the roles
Give the spoon to the one who always says "I will do it". Give the milk to the one who laughs at the spill. The milk is the payoff, but the spoon gets the most screen time, so it suits the partner with the better deadpan. Friends can do this too: the Best Friends Coffee Fail is set in a bright white kitchen and runs 14 seconds.
Photos for two
Two solo photos work better than one cropped group shot. Choose a plain background, a front-facing pose and the outfit you want to wear, because each person's clothes come from their own photo. Make sure both people are adults who agreed to be in it. For a more detailed photo guide, read how two solo photos become one clip.
Posting it together
Add a caption inside TikTok or Instagram, because the file has none. A line like "he said he could" works well, and you can find more on the funny coffee page. Tag your partner so they can share it too. A render takes a few minutes, and it costs the same whether it has one photo or two.
